A 36 x 42" piece of 100% alpaca thick felt batting, machine felted in cottage spinnery, many uses!

This is a very thick piece of wool, produced for us by a cottage spinnery using the alpaca fiber that we had left over from a batch of spun yarn. Instead of throwing the last bits of several natural colors, they were carded and felted.
The result is a thick, lightweight, airy (and very fuzzy surface) piece of felt batting. There are some small bits of plant matter randomly occurring throughout.
The edges are still raw, as seen in the photo, but the functional size of the batt is about 36 x 42" in size, not counting the wispy, thinner edges.
The color is a mottled grey/brown/white.
This is the only piece we have.
